Halloween 2010

Preston was a Spiderman and Abby was Abby-ka-dabby from Sesame Street.

First Ouchie & First Haircut

Abby fell and got her first big ouchie. We practically had to pin her down just to get some medicine & a bandaid on it! She also got her first haircut, which was just a trim! Now her curls are even prettier.

Bandon By the Sea

We did our annual trip to the beach town of Bandon (Krista's favorite beach town on the OR coast). It ended up raining us out after a couple of days, but we got some good memories in while it lasted! The kids made a new friend, Rex. They got to see crabbers at work, and visit a lighthouse.

Zucchinis, teeth, and stripes! Oh my!

Preston received the second stripe on his green-white belt in Kung Fu, which he has been doing for almost 3 years now!. He also lost his 2 front teeth one day apart thus fulfilling his dream to become a true pirate. Abby discovered a zucchini that must have been hidden all summer since it was as big as her! Ahhh...fall is here.

Labor Day at Diamond Lake

Our annual camping trip up to Diamond Lake with Tony's family. This year was awesome, great weather. We had a tea party with tiny food. We rode all 11 miles around the lake...Preston too! The same week he learned to ride his bike on his own. He also caught a rainbow trout.

August Butterfly Release

We get painted lady butterfly caterpillars every year. The kids love watching them grow fat, turn into crysalids and then hatch. This year we had four hatch, and of course, Preston got to hold one for quite a while while releasing. They just love him.

The Hills visit The Smiths

My sister and her family visited from Arizona. The kids adore each other and played non-stop for two weeks. We also got to camp at Emigrant Lake and do water slides! So fun and we miss them terribly.

Beach Trip to Brookings

We finally got to travel with Tony to Brookings, where he works overnight on the coast each week. We didn't get much time with him, but the kids & I loved the 2 days on the beach and couldn't get enough of building sandcastles and feeling the sand beneath our toes. I was in heaven.

Haole Posse Reunion

I got to see half of my haole posse from my old BYU-Hawaii days! It was soooo nice to be reunited with Jackie, who I hadn't seen in 13 years! I met her family for the first time. Becky & I hadn't seen each other in 3 years, before she had her two little boys!! We had a delicious BBQ and swim at Becky's house while the kids played. It was so nice to catch up on old times and quote "Tommy Boy" lines. They truly are my "naughty pets" and I miss them already!!

Disneyland 2010

We did 2 days at Disneyland and it was AMAZING! I love that magical place. The kids had a blast as did Tony & I. Abby's favorite ride was Winnie the Pooh. Preston's favorite was the Matterhorn and Splash Mountain. The only one he did not like was Space Mountain. We did the Tiki Room three times with the kids belting out the words so loud we were hysterical! We love the Tiki Room!

California Vacation

We visited Tony's family in Westminster. His great- grandmother is in her 9os and completely adorable. We also visited with his grandparents who just left Arizona as serving as Mission Presidents for 3 years!

Butterfly Release

Preston ordered caterpillars in the mail this year and watched them grow big and fat. Then they turned into chrysalis' and the waiting game began. Over a week later...butterflies! We released butterflies a few days later and this new idea has become a family tradition I believe. So fun!
