Survivin'!!

In Family Home Evening this week, we created our "72 Hour Backpacks." Preston had his with emergency items: Elmo, a flashlight, and fruit leather (since we told him the real fruit he wanted to bring would go bad!). He kept saying "we're survivin'!" and "We're gonna survive!" He was so excited at the end of the evening that he's been talking about it ever since. Two days afterwards, he woke Tony & I up in the morning by saying, "Mom, Dad, there's someone stealing our neighbors grass. It's an emergency. We better go to Grandma and Papa's!"

Two Months Already!!

Abby is two months old today! She has been smiling for a month now and is cooing at mommy and daddy all the time! So cute! It looks like she is going to have green eyes...go figure! Mommy sees both Nana and Aunt Stephanie (who has green eyes!) in Abby all the time, but not herself. She wishes she could have had just one baby look like her. Oh well.

Kung Fu Master

Preston started Kung Fu classes at the beginning of January. He will get his first "belt" in a couple of weeks and he is the fastest runner in the class...he just can't do anything half-way!! He also got Outstanding Student last week! Hi-ya!
