In Family Home Evening this week, we created our "72 Hour Backpacks." Preston had his with emergency items: Elmo, a flashlight, and fruit leather (since we told him the real fruit he wanted to bring would go bad!). He kept saying "we're survivin'!" and "We're gonna survive!" He was so excited at the end of the evening that he's been talking about it ever since. Two days afterwards, he woke Tony & I up in the morning by saying, "Mom, Dad, there's someone stealing our neighbors grass. It's an emergency. We better go to Grandma and Papa's!"

Hi guys, you are so cute Preston! Such a big boy and growing up too fast! Love, Grandma
It's a good thing you didn't put real fruit in the "survival pack" he would have eatten it all--He's such a "fruit-a-tarian" just like his Nana, tomorrow I'm bringing my own Mango....Love Nana
That is so funny! You guys are such a cute little family!!
very cute. What a little man he has become.
